Notts Area Ramblers Member's Day
Organised by Notts Area Ramblers. Idle Valley Nature Reserve Visitors Centre.
10.30am until 2pm. Visitor Centre open from 10am.
3 walk options available - approximately 1.5 miles, 5.5 miles and 7 miles - all at a leisurely pace with lots to see along the way. The Reserve wardens will accompany us and tell us about the things that we can see as we walk. Competition - New Explorer OS Maps and other prizes.
Packed lunches available from the Visitor Centre for £5 but must be ordered at least 3 days in advance by contacting Judith on 01777 838 763.
For those who do not want to do the walks there is plenty to see around the visitor centre and lake. For the children, there will be the chance to go on a bug hunt or do some plaque rubbings (activity packs are free but MUST be ordered in advance from Judith on 01777 838 763) plus enter our children's competition. The Visitor Centre will be open throughout the day offering drinks, snacks and more substantial meals. There's also a children's adventure area and a willow tunnel. After the walk, there will be the chance to socialise, browse the Wildlife Trust's shop or just sit out around the grounds, listening to and looking at the wildlife.

Organised by Notts Area Ramblers. Further details will be posted here and announced on the home page nearer the time. The week will include walks contributed by the individual groups.
